Solutions The Method
MethodAt Momentum we specialise in accelerating project delivery for medium and large sized organisations. We provide specialist project managers and share the risk and liability of delivering your project. Our method means that you only pay for the resources that you use and we work with your teams to ensure that projects keep moving forward by motivating and engaging.

Using a combination of PRINCE2 and Agile Lean Six Sigma techniques to move projects through their lifecycles, we focus on the quality and requirements to ensure that the project delivers benefit to your business and can be supported once in normal operational use.

The method and technique provides the following:

Flexible – Only use resource when you need it. Don’t waste money.
Agile - Quick ramp up and the ability to focus on deliverables.
Controlled - Following methodologies such as PRINCE2 and MSP.
Transforming– You only benefit once something has started to deliver so maximise that time.

The method focuses on the End to End project delivery and we mean End to End.

Project Start-up Our project managers quickly assimilate information and concentrate on delivery with the minimum of fuss. We have experience of working in many industry sectors and will provide an initial feedback of the project status. We will analyse what is required, what the pitfalls could be and ensure the business case is solid.

We work with senior management to ensure that all stakeholders have an input and agree the way forward. We then drive the project through to delivery.

We are happy to use existing systems and governance structures or suggest methods of improving project delivery.

Delivery Some people would argue that once into delivery the project is home and dry. From our experience this is where projects can and will go wrong.

We focus on delivering projects back to the business dealing with regular project risks and issues under PRINCE2 or your preferred methodology. Once in day to day delivery tasks and resources will be managed to ensure minimum wastage by utilising lean (measuring progress) and Agile fast deliverables and any issues are dealt with or escalated promptly.

It is also in this stage where we engage the support organisations. We understand the needs of support and are fully ITIL v3 conversant having worked in that arena.

Project Closure The project benefits are a key focus throughout delivery and a closing statement on spend versus benefits gained will be integral to acceptance that Momentum has delivered what was agreed when engaged.

We don’t leave handover to support until the end and we fully engage the support teams throughout our project to ensure a smooth transition whilst following ITIL guidelines.
